My first full week back at work after family left could have been a drudgery. I will admit that most mornings (4:30am when I rolled out of bed) felt that way. But routine has a way of settling deep into your bones, and brings a sense of comfort. Of course, being greeted after my shower by a cup of coffee from my husband, and 3 purring kitties is a big pick-me up.
As a bonus, we got a little rain over the weekend, and things cooled off; the weather has been simply lovely all week. I’m not even going to complain about my aching back from pulling weeds in the flowerbeds on Sunday.
I started a new giveaway with Essante Organics essential oils and diffuser, and I have gotten quite a bit of interest in it. You should check it out. Just remember to read and follow the rules carefully to ensure you get all the entries you expect to get.
It was a busy week at my day job because we are short-handed, but I don’t mind pitching where I am needed. And it makes the week go by quickly. Friday was supposed to be a simple day watching contractors. The work was just supposed to take a few hours, but the contractor ran into problems, so I ended up working late.
It’s nice that my husband understands my job; he knows the intricacies of it, and always has a sympathetic ear. We are very good for each other.
This week has been full of little surprises. I am always striving to increase my knowledge in things that improve the health of others; and that extends to animals as well. The last couple of years of our horse Copenhagen’s life I was treating him primarily with holistic means and methods.
Daily, he received organic supplements to ease his arthritic pain, and others to support his digestion and immune system. Occasionally, he would get chiropractic and acupuncture treatments. Since he was no longer able to get in a horse trailer, the vet always came to us.
Just before Copenhagen died, I started to use essential oils on him. I did a lot of research before I was comfortable with it. What I discovered from my research is that animals respond very well to the use of essential oils. There was a book that I was looking at buying, but never did.
My sister-in-law was kind enough to send the book to me after we discussed her aged and ailing kitties. I immediately began digging into the book. I believe that her cats could benefit from essential oils as well.
I also had several opportunities this week to talk with a few people about their health. It is extremely satisfying to me to teach someone how their body works, and explain to them what their symptoms indicate. With a little knowledge you can be empowered.
I had taken some time away from social media because I felt that I needed to change a few things so that I could present my health coaching business in a better way. I seriously do not like marketing, and consequently, I am not very good at it. Well, this week I kind of started over with social media.
I now have a Twitter account, @MCornish_HC, and I am posting a little different content on both Facebook pages, Your Total Health Experience, and Quintessential Organic Living. Come interact with me. Stay tuned for me to be on Instagram next!
Now that the weather is cooler and things are returning to normal around home, I will be working some new programs and teleseminars. I will let you know as they come online. And, as always, I am looking for input from my readers on what kinds of things you would like to see from me. I will look at every suggestion whether it is concerning newsletter content, programs, workshops, webinars, teleseminars, etc. Please speak up; I am here for you!
This weekend I will be busy getting ready for an NAPW (National Association of Professional Women) networking event going on in Dallas next week. I will have a table set up to showcase my business. I am super excited about it! Please pray that it helps grow my business.
I hope the weather is fantastic where you are, and you get outside to enjoy it. I know that I will. May your weekend, and next week come as a breath of fresh air, and may you find peace and contentment each and every day.
